Tizen 3.0 to be unveiled on November 11 in developer conference in Seoul

The first Tizen phone might not be anywhere near a market launch, but Samsung does keep working on the OS itself, constantly improving and adding new features. We recently saw images of Tizen 3.0 running on a Galaxy S3, and now it’s been confirmed that Samsung will be officially showing off the latest version of its OS at the upcoming developer conference in Seoul.

Samsung’s first Tizen phone delayed to 2014?

Things don’t seem to be going so well for Tizen, Samsung’s upcoming mobile OS. After its launch was delayed from early 2013 to late 2013, word is coming in from the Korean media that the launch might have been delayed yet again, to sometime in spring next year. Earlier rumors suggested that CEO JK Shin had personally delayed launch so they could create the “best smartphone,” and it looks like the company is still a ways off from achieving that goal.

The Z9005, a high-end Tizen phone that shares specs with the Galaxy S3, has been in the news quite often, and now we can take a look at a hands-on video of the device, showcasing Tizen, Samsung’s mobile operating system that the company hopes will one day power everything from mobile to banks, cars, televisions, and more.

10-inch Tizen tablet launched in Japan for developers

Samsung has a couple of development devices for Tizen out there, and now the first official Tizen-running tablet has been launched in Japan by Systena Corporation, a leading provider of IT solutions and cloud computing in the country. The tablet – a 10-inch unit with a WUXGA (1900 x 1200) display – will be offered as part of a development kit for developers, to help them efficiently develop apps and software for Tizen, especially tablet-optimized ones.
