Can’t make up your mind about the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung’s latest and most powerful phablet, and are still wondering whether it’s a device you should upgrade to from your current device? Well, Samsung wants to help, so the company has released a new app called Galaxy Note 3 Experience, which, as the name suggests, will let you experience some of the features of the device on any Android device.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 is finally getting its first software update, to build VRUBMJ7. Unlike the updates for the international variant of the device, this one is more than just a stability update – it improves the poor sound quality that users have been complaining about, and fixes a few connectivity issues. Pink Galaxy Note 3 comes to UK as Phones 4u exclusive

At the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung announced three colours for the device – black, white and pink. While the first two are readily available, the pink coloured Galaxy Note 3 will soon be available in UK at least, via Phones 4u. The retailer will be the exclusive UK retailer for the new colour for the month of November.

AT&T giving free Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with Galaxy S4, S4 Active, Note II, and Note 3

Does Samsung have too many unsold tablets lying around? That certainly seems to be the case, as after Woot, who’s giving away numerous Galaxy Tabs on a discount, AT&T launched an offer as well – anyone who buys a Galaxy S4, S4 Active, Note II, or Note 3 on a new two-year contract this holiday season will get a free 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3. You’ll be able to add the tablet to an existing Mobile Share plan for $10 more per month, or get a separate data plan if you choose.

Samsung ships 5 million Galaxy Note 3 in a month

We know Samsung’s latest flagship device – Galaxy Note 3 is doing good in the market and the number confirmed by JK Shin today resonates the fact. At a press briefing in Korea, JK Shin confirmed that they’ve managed to ship 5 million Galaxy Note 3s to sales channels, carriers etc. Samsung never confirms the actual consumer sales but this figure is also a good proof on the traction of the Galaxy Note 3.

International Galaxy Note 3 gets a stability update

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for its international Snapdragon 800 Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). The UDMJ6 is a stability update available to Galaxy Note 3 users over-the-air and it brings in some performance improvements including a confirmation on the Reactivation Lock feature which will now be turned off by default.

In a nice little move to increase exposure of the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung will be giving away the device for free to every athlete participating in the upcoming Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. The handset has been named the Olympic Games Phone, in a move Samsung says will allow athletes “to enjoy, capture and share their Olympic Games experience in a smarter way.”

Canadian Galaxy Note 3 receiving stability update

The Galaxy Note 3 is receiving a small update in Canada, two weeks after the device was launched in the country. Available on Rogers, Bell, and TELUS Note 3′s, the update is a security and stability update that comes in at 21MB in size, and is the same initial update that was pushed out to the Note 3 in other markets. It will update the device to build number N900W8VLUBMJ1.

Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear arrive in Japan via NTT DoCoMo and KDDI

As expected, the Galaxy Note 3 has been launched in Japan. Carriers NTT DoCoMo and KDDI will be offering the device, and both carriers will also be selling the Galaxy Gear from today itself. For those wondering, the Japanese variant is powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, though other specs remain the same, including the 5.7-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, 13-megapixel camera, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Steve Kondik, the man behind the popular custom ROM CyanogenMod, has taken to Google+ to tease CyanogenMod (CM) running on the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung’s latest and greatest phablet. A lot of folks feverishly await the arrival of CM on a shiny new device they bring home, and for Note 3 owners, the option to remove Samsung’s overbearing software and use Android as Google envisioned it should be a reality soon.

Note 3 only cores active.Is this a drawback?

 while analysing the phone's real-time performance, you can notice something pretty weird:
During gaming (and benchmarks), about 90-95% of the time, only 2 cores are active.
The only time all 4 cores are active is really during boot-up and loading of any kind.
It's not a big deal but I'm curious to see if you guys heard anything about cores being idle during gaming. It's news..

Samsung Galaxy Round goes on sale in South Korea this week

Gear up folks, well, at least if you’re in South Korea this week: Samsung’s Galaxy Round, the world’s first smartphone to feature a curved “flexible” display, will go on sale in the country this week. The official price is set at around 1,089,000 won (~$1000) – a steep price, but for a first of its kind device that will (seemingly) kick of the market of “flexible displays”, it was never expected that Samsung would price it sensibly.
